College is a time for academic and professional growth as well as a time for social growth and development. Campus life should include more than just classes; offering chances for fun and for social interaction between students is essential for creating a positive college experience Dramacool. Spring Fling events are just one of the many examples of this type of experience. This year, as you plan the Spring Fling events at your school, keep it fresh and try something different by including an outdoor movie event.
Social activities offer a chance for students to get together outside of the classroom, make friends and create special memories of college life they will remember for years. Special events are an important tool colleges can use to improve student life and increase the odds that more students will return the following year and complete their program of study at that school. It is common for first year students to not return to the same school their second year, so universities should take steps to avoid this situation.
Traditional Spring Fling activities might be important at your school and that’s great, but why not try something different this year and add something new and exciting. You might kick off the Spring Fling festivities with a movie, or you could plan an outdoor movie event as a memorable ending to the festivities. Traditions are important, but keeping campus activities fresh and exciting is also a good idea. Showing a popular new movie might attract students who would not have otherwise attended any Spring Fling events.
An inflatable movie screen can be set-up just about anywhere on campus; you might host a drive-in movie in a parking lot or invite students to bring chairs or blankets out for a movie on the quad. If April showers threaten to ruin the fun, move the event indoors and host the movie viewing in a gymnasium. Inflatable screens come in different sizes and can be set up and taken down in a short period of time, creating many options for location.
Organizing a movie event with an inflatable movie screen is simple. An outdoor movie event production company can help guide you through the process, from promoting your event, to choosing the right screen, to obtaining the proper licenses to show your movie selection. Improve campus life and create a buzz on your university campus this Spring with an outdoor movie event during Spring Fling week. Remakes are the order of the day, and with the amount of money riding on these movies, it would only make sense for the audience to want some of the most memorable movies made into a new one by any of the grittier and more intense directors around today. We look at the three movies that would make for interesting Bollywood remakes today.
The epic Bollywood movie to end all epics, Khuda Gawah was a movie ahead of its time, and unfortunately the audience couldn’t appreciate the movie. Starring Amitabh Bachchan as a passionate and straight forward Pathan who achieves his love, and then gives it up for a promise to a police man, the movie has Nagarjuna, Shilpa Shirodkar, Kiran Kumar, Danny Dengzonpa and Vikram Gokhale playing some of the most stellar characters of modern times. This was one of the first and only movies to be shot in Afghanistan, and did complete justice to the beauty that the place has to offer.
Khuda Gawah is famous not just for the direction, but also the art direction and action sequences. The high octane climax is something that was rarely seen in Bollywood movies. In fact, the entire movie is peppered with what can be considered to be epic sequences. Danny Dengzonpa also played a career best role as the trusty Pathan’s aide.
If you thought that a flawed protagonist was something that has come recently to Bollywood, think again. Gambler stars Govinda as a police officer who finds out that he suffering from a deathly disease, and has a few days to live. The police officer is now troubled about how his family will make their ends meet after he dies, but finds out one day that if he dies on duty, his family will make more money. He now has a deathwish, to die on duty, and because of this, the corrupt and cowardly cop pits himself against some of the biggest goons in the city.
Of course, because it was a nineties movie, it is found out that there was an error in the medical tests, and therefore he is hale and hearty, but that can definitely be twisted a bit to add to the dark and ironic movies that are making their presence felt in Bollywood today.
Appu Raja is not strictly a Bollywood movie, because it is a South side movie made by the Maestro Kamal Haasan, but it is definitely one that can be remade within a blink. Appu Raja tells the story of twins, whose father is killed by evil goons, and mother is given poisoned. One of the boys is born with a deformity, which makes him perfect for the circus, while another becomes a roadside Romeo. The deformed man finds out about his father’s killers, and decides to kill all of them one by one. While the concept is interesting, even the ways of killing that Appu chooses are a marvel. This script and screenplay is definitely something that is worthy of the graphics and technology that is available today.
